Get Out of the Mud & Into the Joy
In 2008, while still in college, I envisioned an art studio dedicated to hosting summer art camps for children. After earning my art education degree, I began independently organizing and leading those camps — and I've never stopped.
As a full-time public school art teacher for over 15 years, I've watched the simple joys of childhood quietly slip away under hectic schedules and endless testing. I believe preparing children for the future means deliberately investing in their creativity.
The Artful Gathering is my answer — a haven where children (and adults) can reclaim wonder, hands-on discovery, and magical memories.

My children's book, Hippo's Invitation to Joy, is the heartbeat of my entire brand. In the story, Hippo's friends lovingly convince her to get out of the mud and join them in creative adventures.
